This is a 2-day pranayama and meditation facilitator workshop.
Great for students wanting to deepen their understanding and practice.
Opportunity for yoga teachers wanting to learn more about different types of pranayama and meditation. Learn a general understanding to help you decide what to specialise in.
This is more than just a workshop with a scenic west coast walking meditation and a sacred Buddhist Monastery visit. It's an experience.
Workshop 1 | August 15th
12 pm - 4.30 pm Yoga Lane Studio, Waiuku In-studio workshop Opening Meditation & Orientation Introduction, History & Philosophy Modern Science & Breathwork Different types of Meditation Different types of Pranayama Closing Meditation
4.45 pm - 5.30 pm Optional West Coast Walking Meditation.
Workshop 2 | August 22nd
10.30 am - 1 pm Optional Bombay Vimutti Buddhist Monastery visit with Dharma talk and a shared meal.
2 pm - 4.30 pm Yoga Lane Studio, Waiuku In-studio workshop Opening meditation & recap Anatomy of Breathing How to run a group class Teaching cues and class planning Closing Meditation
We will be covering a basic introduction to pranayama (breathwork), meditation and mindfulness and will be diving a little deeper into the following:
Pranayama: Samavritti. Dirga. Ujjayi. Nadi Shododhana. Kapalbhathi. Bhastrika. Sitali and Sitkari.
Meditation and mindfulness practices: Focused attention. Resting awareness. Noting. Reflection. Zen meditation. Yin meditation. Mantra meditation. Moving meditation.
By the end of the workshop, you will have enough knowledge to teach focused attention meditation and three pranayama techniques of your choice in a group setting.
We also finish each workshop with a Chakra Sound Bath meditation!
